Wight Tri Nominations for Awards 2019

Its that time of the year again, when Wight Tri recognises the achievements of all its members at the Annual AGM and Awards Evening. This
year this is taking place at the Chessell Pottery Café on Friday 29th November, organised by Dan Morgan. At this event, there will be several
awards handed out to well deserving Wight Tri members. Some of these awards have already been decided from events throughout the year, with others being decided by the votes of the club membership. There are almost 80 members in the club, so it would be great if all members could vote on the awards below.

N.B. The closing date for your vote is 20th October to allow me time to collate results and get trophies engraved for the awards evening.
The following 6 awards are decided by the Club members:

Male Triathlete and Female Triathlete – awarded to the male and female triathletes who have achieved success throughout the current triathlon season.

This is not necessary the best and fastest triathletes, but those who have trained and worked hard to complete and compete; achieved success through adversary; completed an amazing feat/challenge in triathlon events.

Club Duathlete – awarded to either a male or female duathlete, who has achieved success throughout the current duathlon season. This is not necessary
the best and fastest duathlete, but someone who has trained and worked hard to complete and compete; achieved success through adversary; completed
an amazing feat/challenge in duathlon events

Percy Veerance Award – awarded to the triathlete who has completed a major challenge; worked extremely hard to achieve success in multi-sport events.

Golden Crank Award – awarded to the triathlete who has achieved the most amazing mishap/faux pas whilst endeavouring to compete in
triathlon/duathlon training or events.

These are the nominations that I have for the Golden Crank Awards so far.
If you anymore nominations, please message Liz ASAP. Thanks

Club Volunteer – awarded to the Wight Tri member who has voluntarily helped out and supported Wight Tri throughout the season in any way, eg
organising events, supporting events by marshalling etc, and promoting Wight Tri through media etc
