Chillerton Crucifier Duathlon

10 Wight Tri members braved the cold and chilly wind to take on the Chillerton Crucifier Duathlon. A choice of a short run of 2.4km and a long run of 5.9km with 1 or 2 laps of the 14km cycle loop taking the competitors out of Chillerton through to Chale, returning back to transition via Bleak Down and Rookley.

1st in the nominated event was Martin Jackson, only 16 secs outside his nominated time of 1:23:00 for the short run and long cycle course. Craig Wilson was 2nd in 1:45:40, 2mins 20 secs faster than his nomination for the long course. 3rd was Russ Mellor finishing in 1:39:37, 2:37 outside his time for the long run, short cycle route.
Craig Wilson posted the fastest men’s time with Jan Fletcher the fastest female in 2:06:25.
The next event in the Wight Tri Winter Duathlon Series is the Brading Duathlon on the 11th March.
