East Cowes Enema Duathlon

18 members took part in the 3rd in the Wight Tri Winter Duathlon Series. Starting from the East Cowes seafront, and with the choice of a 2.2 or or 4.2 km run and either 1, 2, or 3 laps of a 10km undulating cycle route to the crematorium roundabout, the competitors would find it tough on such a cold morning.
1st in the nominated event was Kieron Blakey with 1min 21 secs inside his nominated time of 1 hour 35mins 23secs to finish the long run and 2 lap cycle route in 1:34:02. 2nd was Grant Philbrick in 1:28:08 and 1min38secs outside his nominated time for the same course. Janet Fletcher was 3rd, 2mins 30secs inside her nominated time of 1:33:00 for the same route.
